This project relates to he notion of physical identity and starts with the idea that we are all the same. Basically we all have two eyes, one nose and one mouth but there are still over 6 billions of different faces. So, is an individual UNIQUE ?
It shows all at once the multiplicity and the sameness of our faces. Are we unique? And if the answer is yes, what makes this uniqueness?
We all have the same numbers of eyes, nose, mouth (and ears). How is it possible that there are over 6 billions of individuals that look different?
This loop installation contains 4 'screens' and each one shows flash pieces of film. It also contains one soundtrack for all the screens: voices whispering a quote by Friedrich Nietzsche about IDENTITY: "At bottom every man knows well enough that he is a unique being, only once on this earth; and by no extraordinary chance will such a marvelously picturesque piece of diversity in unity as he is, ever be put together a second time."
